phew! its HOT!!
I guess we’re in the middle of a heat wave here in Seattle… Its been so hot in the last couple of days that I haven’t been able to bring myself to heat up the wax to paint… I have, however, before the heat, been painting and am pretty happy so far with what I’ve been painting… I will post a few photos in a bit.
I’m turning 43 on Monday… wow… I feel like my life is just starting. I love where I am in my life… I want more from it… my focus is painting and the rest will figure itself out… This summer I’ve been re-reading Eckhart Tolle (A New Earth) and have been reading Excuses be Gone by Wayne Dyer… I am in love with this line of thinking and try to practice being in the now every day… I find this much easier to do with time off from my job at the UW.

home again
I’m back from my nice long week-end… I had a nice road trip and visit with my family. I’m glad to be back and am looking forward to painting again tomorrow. Its always good to take a little break from painting to keep the passion. Here are a few photos from yesterday’s sandcastle contest and some photos of rusty things (my secret passion)… :o]

a little break
Since Thursday I’ve been in Long Beach, WA enjoying some time to myself and also visiting with family. I’ve really been enjoying some much needed time alone. It has helped to clear my mind and reset my soul after a long and some what stressful year.
Today we’re going to a “Saturday” market in Ilwaco, to lunch and then this evening we will go in to town to see the results of the sandcastle building contest they have going on in Long Beach. I can hardly wait to see what people have created!

I’m back from our trip out to Chelan… It was SO nice and hot out there… about 95 degrees while we were there and then cool enough to sleep outside at night. It was great!
